Had mine tore down for years and years.
Assembled it all back together even though I didn't have everything I wanted for it yet.
Best decision I have ever made.
Been driving it regularly now for about 15 years (had it since '82). Drove it to high school and college in the 80's.
It still needs proper floor pans, top work, and paint.
But everything else is really dialed in.
Putting it back together was the smartest thing I have done.
So don't tear it all the way down.
Do all of your stuff (it's all good stuff) just do it in stages and keep driving it.
My only suggestions are,
