What P.S. Box to use with a right hand drive?

Like the title says, what would I do for a power steering box for a right hand drive setup? I take it the pitman would swing the same, and if I wanted an inside frame box I'd have to use an outside frame box? And vice versa. What is the advantage inside v outside? On the pas side I would have more room (no track bar will be run). Trying to figure this out in my head.

Use a '73-87 Chevy 4x4 box if you want the box on the inside of the frame or a '73-91 Wagoneer box or '87 to present Chevy 4x4 box (exc. '87-91 4x4 3/4 and 1 ton) if you want the box on the outside.

These are both in the right-hand drive application of course. Both are essentially the same box.

I think I recently saw a picture of a '99 grand wagoneer Jeep that would work great.

Inside the frame doesn't have any real benifits. The reason it was done was because that was the power steering box that was at hand to do the conversion.

Outside the frame gives room for more radiator and a longer draglink. Longer draglink means less arc during suspension travel and can lead to less bumpsteer (depending on how the rest of the suspension is set up).

Not sure how you are going to pull off no track bar. You need something to locate the front axle laterally. If you are doing a 4 link or something similer then a longer draglink will aid bumpsteer issues as it will follow the suspension with less bumpsteer, but you will still have some.

Yeah those are the easiest to find. All the late-model Ford boxes have the pitman arm facing forward which takes them out of the running as you would have to mount them on the coil bucket.

just a guess but wouldn't you use a stock Bronco box on the inside of the passenger side frame and a stock 2wd f250 box on the outside of the passenger side rail. Just the oppsite of what you would do on the drivers side. You would also have to move the alternator to the drivers side of the engine. You would also have to deal with the input of the water pump.

Hmm, interesting suggestions, I guess it really wouldnt be much of a difference, I would rather have it on the outside of the frame I think for clearance of other items. Whats it for? Well I am brainstorming my next project. We've seen the odd-rod, well this will be along those lines, it will be a halfcab or wagon, not sure yet. If it is a wagon I want to chop the top on it and raise the body line up. Anyways, I plan to make it 2wd, mustang or similar front end, with the ability to put it on the ground, tubbed rear, right hand drive and powerplant and trans to be determined. Most likely a 351w based stroker and whatever tranny that can handle it.

I'm not sure if they had ps or not but yoyu might see about looking into a G-100 postal wagon. They had the same frame as the bronco and were right hand drive.
