Wanting to take the passanger side air box off and I removed the screws on the side (#1 marks the picture). But there are no screws on the top (#2 marks the picture). It seems to be rivited to the sheetmetal. Is that correct? Did you drill out the rivits and put screws back in place of?

thanks
brian

the riveted sheet metal is part of the box/intake unit. it only attaches to the body at the kickpanel (circular with screws around it) don't bother messing with the rivets before you pull the box!!

Yeah, if you have removed all of the screws from the vertical part (#1) then you should be able to lift it right off. Try pulling it toward you.

it must be the rats nest (literally it was a rats nest) that is holding the thing on.
