What years for donor 4x4 AOD?

Im going to be doing a AOD swap and was reading that I can get one out of a truck/bronco and I wont need to buy and adapter if I got with a NP205,
I was wondering if anybody could tell me what years to look for?

'88 and up have the improved rear lube. Anything before that will have self destructed the planetarys by now (strange part is they often still run down the road OK until it completely dies).

Then read up at www.becontrols.com for year by year and model changes.

Im aware of that, I was just wondering what year trucks have the AOD so I wont need to buy an adapter if I go with a NP205
