I've got a few in mind right now;
1. NV 3550 swap
2. H4 headlights
3. install CD player & speakers
4. get a bikini top
5. rebuild my engine

However, the project that I will likely tackle first is having a custom cage fab'ed at a local shop. Probably in early October. Then comes the painting aspect, should I go with a red cage or black??? decisions...decisions.... My bumpers are black, but I'm thinking the same red as my rig. What do you think?

I'd go with a black cage to match the bumpers. IMO when the cage is body color it takes away from the trucks body lines, makes it look too large. With a black cage, you tend to notice the truck itself more.

Well my current project is replacing my body mounts. Painting the inside of my tub with Rust Bullet. And then replacing my old seats with ones from an early 90s Eagle Tallon (just like the Eclipse). After that I'm not sure probably either work on putting together my D44 or else replacing my engine, it has been leaking like a stuck pig.

I'm going to be completing my interior with POR15, new carpet, diamond plate tunnel cover, door panels (quarter panels), armrests, head liner, and complete weather stripping. I just finished rebuilding my seats and they look out of place with the rest of the interior.

I'll be off work for my sabbatical (2.5 months) in mid August, so I'll have lots of time.

I also agree with toque, black looks the best to offset the body paint. Monochrome is more of an 80's and 90's thing.

I need to weld in my front cage kit, and hopefully get some sort of spare tire carrier installed. beyond that, money becomes the issue, like disc brakes, power brakes, power steering, tilt column, and the list goes on forever.:p %)

and I'd go with the black cage;D

On the '68, I need to find the source of the oil leak on the front of the engine (most likely the intake manifold). The '72 is a different story.; I need to brace the tub, pull the doors and get ready for floorpan, kick panel, door post, door striker, and rocker replacement. Also need to teardown the 5.0 and give it the once over. Hopefully I can get away without a total rebuild (maybe just hone, rings and bearings).

I'm currently working on replacing C bushings and Rust Bulleting the entire underside. After that, I'll patch my bed and repair or replace my old smitty roll bar. I would love to put in a family cage, but money is a limiting factor. After I get a cage back in, I'll install seatbelts and get'er back on the road. Still lots to do after that, but at least I'll be back on the road.

Raleigh_bronco,
Let me know who you find to do your cage.

I would go with black for the roll bar, to match the bumpers.

I get to open up the steering column and resolve a small electrical fire that happened on the trail last weekend. Now my blinkers don't work and the dash lights act a little funny. :p I plan to put a new steering wheel on while I'm at it.

Also have a new stereo to put in, transmission problem to fix (shifting to 3rd too quickly), and a general tune up to do.

For the roll cage, I'd vote black. :)

I finally got my engine back from the machine shop, so I'll be re-assembling and painting it this weekend, re-installing dash and wiring (with new stereo), putting my steering column back together, fixing a leaking brake line, and hopefully firing it up;D ;D

In general I need to get my Bronco street ready after sitting for more than a year.

Once I'm comfortable with that, I hope to get the four wheel disc conversion done (I've had most of the parts for over a year) along with the D44 swap (had that for more than 2 years)

In September, a friend of mine and I are hoping to get to building and installing my 351.

Looking forward to all of it.

As for the roll bar, I'd vote black as well. The color of the roll bar and bumpers should match, and should not match the color of the body IMHO.

Currently, the truck is in the body shop getting new paint, and some minor body mods. The interior is also getting a once over with new seats out of a wrecked Lexus, and heated rear seat/bed for the camping trip, and a whole new stereo that my buddy is putting together. The roll bar is being modified to a full family cage and tied to the frame - I'm also painting it the same as the body.

Those are under way, my dream by the end of the year is to have a complete rig with all the goodies - need to rebuild and install D44 with ARB or Electra-trac, winch & bumper, and hopefully for Christmas a GPS system.

I'll post pictures as soon as I get the car out of the shop.

Today I need to put a differential side bearing on the rear Detroit Locker that was cracked last weekend when the first left rear axle broke. (The replacement axle also broke) Then I need to put the new axle in a put it all back together. (Now completed)

When that is done I need to pull the right front (long axle) out and replace it since it is also broken. I'll probably pull the left front axle as well and see if I can modify the flange on it a bit since it was a really tight fit when we replaced it last weekend. (Everyone been counting, I managed to bust 4 axles last weekend) (Now Completed)

Following this I need to repair the right front body mount. I went for a pretty hairy ride down the side of a hill where it tried to endo on me. By the time I got to the bottom it had bounced around enough to bust the rear seat loose and completely disintegrate the body mount up front. After this is done I need to move my radiator down an inch or so. This is to give the lower outlet some extra clearance. Then I will be installing hood pins so I can remove the latch and put a pusher fan in front of the radiator. I also have another tranny cooler I'll try to fit up there at the same time.

Once all of this is done I have two rocks on two different trails that have my name on them.

Update to do: Get steel to build a set of extended radius arms and add more support to the roll cage.
