there used to be a website polishmywheels but it is no longer up. he sold kits and you could also send him your wheels. did anyone who bought the kit remember what polishing materials were used?

You can get them passable in about an hour with a wheel with wet paper. Dont expect to get pits out but I did 400, 800, 1200, then a wide semi-soft cotton buffer wheel on my makita hand drill with brown rouge. Came out pretty nice. But I was painting the inner part of the slot so I didn't get that perfect..

I dropped my oem ford slots off at a wheel refinsher. I went by to take a look at one he finished. he machined and then polished them gorgeous . really look better than they could ever look new back in the 70's . I'll post them when finished. mounting a set of 31.10.50 bfg all terrain black walls with a 2.5 wild horse kit on my luber can't wait
