Wheeled the EB (AKA, Does Bill always have to be right)

Couldn't let all this snow go to waste, so I dragged the street EB out in
the pines (Yes, I wheeled it, even though I said I never would, it's all
Bills fault %)). Nice thing about a snow run is it's much harder to
break (although I saw the high side of 5500 quite a few times) and the
thing ends up cleaner when you get home than it was when you left
(a big plus for a semi-blinged up street rig).

Thing couldn't get 3 feet until I aired down to about 10 PSI. Didn't have
a tire guage, but I've aired down enough to know about what "good" is.
Then it was all but unstoppable. No action pics really, but the one guy
with a stockish Tocoma (which I finally convinced to air way down also)
and I were haulin butt through the trails, fish tailin all over the place.
Some of the most fun I've had in a long while. Guess I see the appeal of
the KOH type races. Hit one spot that was pure ice under the snow
and ended up sliding sideways @ about 30 MPH until it stopped,
little pucker goin on there................ ;D

One area out there has some decent hills (for jersey).
I got up one spot after several tries, being aired down and locked in
the front. Another buddy tried it with his fullsize dodge, that didn't work
out too well. He ended up sideways on the hill and pretty stuck.
Luckily, another guy with an F250 on 38's had a winch.

Have not wheeled something "this small" since my BII and that thing
was underpowered with the stock 235's let alone 33's. The EB did
much better than I thought it would. Actually the first time I ever
wheeled it.............. I also forgot how much fun it is to wheel a
stick, especially with the creeper.

Gripes.....

Heat sucks (I have not done the chevy blower motor/wheel upgrade yet).

Wish I had put those defroster tubes in, just could not fit them correctly with a std size CD player in the dash

2 piece soft doors open @ the top about an inch and half @ around 50 MPH, making even decent heat (if I had it) probably worthless.

Front wheel hop when forward progress stops, same as the fullsizes have, especially locked in the front.

Ox, where did you go? I've been down to Forked River, Exit 74 off parkway about 2 months ago with my buddy's quad but I am always nervous about trespassing.

Nope, I brought it last year, and only cause the woman went (she don't wheel). Might not make it this year. Every time I wheel that mog monster I have now, it creates more work and leaves less time to get the new rig done. Am trying to limit my wheelin this year to a few day trips here and there, like the snow run or blue rocks. PIA maintaining and/or campaigning 8 vehicles. ;D

PS: Al left his 460 bronc in my back yard, thinking of wheelin that next........ :p (completely contradicting my previous paragraph)

We got it BAD in southern NM... had a 1/2" of snow back in January, stuck to the roads for a whole MORNING!

For fun, we get to go to the canyons all winter... no blue hairs or soccer moms out there a'tall! ;)

Heck..I have my hands more than full trying to campaign four! Going to be a very slow wheeling year for me too..extensive back surgery coming up that is going to lay me out for a good while. I am going to make the Roundup come hell or high water though..;)
