Who sells the best door posts? I'm considering upgrading mine. Thoughts?

The strap hinge has been great, but I'm thinking about going back to a more conventional set up. Thanks
Yes, I used a hatchet for my floor opening during the roll cage installation. Worked pretty good.

I like the 2x4. Much easier to run screws into than that mean old metal.%)

Maybe make the replacements out of Trex?
They would be more weather proof that way. ;D

The good thing about the wood backing is you wont have to weld in the new door posts. You can just place them on top and screw in through the sheet metal into the wood for a good solid structure. Be careful if you weld in your new sheetmetal. That wood structure looks to be treated wood. Burning treated wood releases the toxins into the air and can cause you to get very ill.
take care of those hinges I believe they were a joint venture between Stanly and Stroppe to reduce the weight of the origional factory hinges. Saved close to 7 pounds.

That was a good call to tie the roll cage into the frame.

At least it has the nice Ford Alcoas (at least one) on it. I'd grab those!

I don't think that's a roll bar. Looks like a piece of pipe that pushed up through the floor pan. Probably why they stopped driving it.
