Did anyone else purchase the underseat box from Wild Child? I got mine and like it a lot. Much needed storage in a place that was otherwise unused.

I do however have a small problem with mine. My lock does not engage. I think the stiffener part that is tack welded to the stand is backwards. If it was the other way it might lock. I was pretty excited to get it in, so i painted it and shoved it in and the last thing i did was put the lock on and it doesn't work. Did anyone else have this problem. I would check it out before you install.

I still like the box. It was well made and well worth the money.

Tgirouard,

Can you post a picture of it installed. I had the James Duff one and returned it because it didn't fit. It was too large and you need to cut the carpet out to make it fit. I just didn't want to cut my new carpet.

I could be wrong -- but I think the "lock" is just the "latch" that locks the drawer closed. Sam may have a "keyed" lock for this that I don't know of, the latch is the most common used.
Sam makes some great prodcuts. I use his storage box also. He makes a great dual battery tray too !!!

Here are a couple of pics of my box installed. It was easy to put in. Remove the seat, ground off my custom made seat bracket. I chose to rivot mine down. Oh Ya! Don't drill a hole in your spare gas tank like i did. Good thing i don't use it. Hey, that gives me something to do next weekend. And yes that is a smudge and a scrape in the paint already. Gotta learn to take my time.

Yes - I was referring to the latch - not a lock. Turns out I was missing it. WildChild is sending me one, so no big deal. It will probably be a few weeks before I have the time to put it in anyway.

Looks good! It looks like you got the latch to work too!. This seems like a great use of an otherwise void space!

Actually the latch is just there but it doesn't latch to anything. It just misses the stiffener going across. The back part of the stiffner is longer and would probably latch if it was turned around. Since i have a Rattlesnake liner it won't slide.
