Does anyone know, what thread size and pitch of the adjustable end ? Is it 3/4 x 16 threads.

Sorry, meant to respond late last night but I got sidetracked. And I was hoping someone else would come up with an answer!

I had thought they were originally an acme thread (whatever that is) but I don’t actually know for sure what they are. The bars have gone through a couple of iterations over the last 20 years or so too, so could easily have been changed.

I don’t think the information is readily available for viewing, but I’ll try to find out.

Thanks Paul, hey did you get my email response to your question on my lift on my 74 , for the WH high angle drive line?
Thanks Dave

If it's the one about you sending me some degree readings later, or something along those lines, I got it but did not get a follow up with details.
If you have those I'd be glad to get them now.

That the one you're talking about? If not, if you can re-send me anything you're needing, please do.

Thanks

Paul

By the way, if they are "acme" threads, you should be able to tell easily by looking at them. If you have any exposed to see, where a standard thread has a sharp peak, an acme thread is more squared off (flattened) in both peak and valley. Think, vise threads.
Officially it's a trapezoidal thread form, but I don't know if they're all exactly the same other than diameter of base material, or if they can vary by need.
They're typically used in high load situations.

If you can see what look like normal threads then, they probably are. If they're flat-topped, they're acme. Probably assembled in the desert by Wylie Coyote!

You thinking about replacing the upper eye with a spherical rod end (Heim) or doing something else with it?
I probably won't recommend/advocate for doing some custom mod, but I'm curious as all get out if you're doing something.

Hey Paul on the email, you were curios about what type of lift and what I have done to it and what stuff I used.
On my track bar, I have the duff HD Adjustable Track Bar End, and it is common 3/4″-16 threaded end. and did not know what style threads my WH track bar had.

Thanks Dave ( I did talk to Tom Woods and they said the measurements I gave them were pretty extreme for a 3.5 inch lift, that I probably would have to use the style of drive line that you guys use to have) These are pics of the duff hemi joint and pics of the lift items.

My WH track bar has 7/8 thread
Thanks, I went back to their web site and for the early bronco it says 3/4, and if you go to the 78 and 79 bronco it says it's 7/8. When it warms up I'll take my gauge and measure to see what it is.

Whoops! Should say 7/8-14. I'll get that fixed.
