I purchased a Wild Horses lift system 16 (3.5) with bilstein shocks. I want to use the factory frame shock mounts vs the inboard shock hoop, but the bilstein shock bushing is too small.
Is there a way to swap bushing or did i order the wrong shocks?

Sure they aren't upside down? The rear shocks mount rubber boot down.Just the opposite of how we've been mounting shocks forever

Did you ask anyone at WH? I am sure they will see this and respond soon. They are good!

Yeah I thought I was doing something wrong, which is highly likely. But I tried both ways. They do fit the provided mounts that I welded to the axle and the provided bolts for inboard frame hoop mount. Just not the Stock frame mounts....

Both Front and Rear of the Bilstein shocks should have come with different size Metal Sleeves that are pressed inside the Poly Bushings depending on the mount. There is one size (out of 3, I think) that will fit the Rear Shock Mount.

If rusty or corroded the shock mount itself may need to be cleaned up for the Metal Sleeve to fit.

My bilsteins were a tight fit from WH. Got them in with some muscle. Different metal bushings depends on bolt size.

For mounting on the "STOCK" rear mount you would remove the metal sleeve from the shock bushing. That should be all that's needed. The stock upper rear mount (late 66-77) has a built in sleeve. This applies to the 5100/5125 Bilsteins.

Roger, so it’s safe to run that way, no metal sleeve? Just double checking, thanks!

If I wanted to order replacement sleeves, is there a product number?
