Will Super Celebration Go On?

I was just sitting here wondering if the COVID-19 would effect Super Celebration? I know it's a month out, and I truly hope people come to their senses by then, but I didn't know.

We’re supposed to fly into Las Vegas next Friday with intentions to drive out to Zion. What’s your take....are they shutting down attractions?

That's an interesting question. I'd be surprised if they close down national parks unless they get to confinement restrictions like other countries have done.

Hotels are unlikely to close, but I hear they're very quiet with so many people cancelling travel. Most people are nervous about flying more than being in a hotel (I was supposed to travel the next two weeks and cancelled both).

I believe most hotels and airlines will postpone travel versus you losing your money. If it were me, I'd postpone for 6 months (to a good time of the year) or a year.

I know there's been a lot of folks order parts from our vendors who are going to deliver them to Super Celebration. I've got 4 vendors web pages pulled up with items in the carts waiting to "confirm purchase" until I hear one way or the other lol.

The US sentiment changed Wednesday night between the Trump speech and the NBA postponement. I doubt the same hotel and restaurant are as busy as they were this past week during the upcoming week. With that said, we're Americans and we aren't going to be afraid or let our lives be disrupted unless they make us. Locals will keep going to restaurants, but there's no debating that travel IS going to be way down these next few weeks.

All of our reservations have gone down over 50%, airfare and hotel rates. Kind a hard not to take advantage

Seriously, 1 lady came back from China on an airline, what 12 hours. Came home and infected her husband after 1 week. Of the 300 people she was in close contact with, only her husband became ill.

I work at the airport in Little Rock. I talked with several airline employees tonight and they said that there has been a sharp decrease in passenger travel. A flight attendant I talked with from Delta said this is the worst she's seen, worse than 911. Our food service employees are being cut back along with disability service employees starting next week. There is "talk" that airports, bus terminals and train travel could be hit next.
I do agree, the panic has gotten out of control...

It’s not panic dictating this. The closures are based on the recommendation of Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.

Nobody knows how many Americans are infected because our administration decided not to utilize WHO tests developed in Berlin. Now we are weeks behind other countries in testing. We’re behind Vietnam by a large margin.
