most all the manufacturers use the same winch for 8-10k just with different gearing to make the higher load ratings. the general rule of thumb is 2x your vehicle weight and most broncos weigh in the 4-5k range so your good!
if your looking to save weight put on some synthetic line. half the weight of your winch is steel line.
do your self a favor and make sure you have a strong alternator 100 amps or more and a good battery.
