Window Hinge Attachment 72 Bronco

I have a 72 Bronco and the screws holding the rear window hinge rusted out. Looking at it, it looks like there is a metal bar about 8" long, 3/4" wide and 1/4" thick. It appears it has threaded holes for the bolts screw into. I used a screw driver as a pry and got the hinge holes over the bolt heads since they would not come out. Looking at the bar it looks as though the bar was put inside the roof cavity before welding it up. The holes are long-gated so it could be moved about 3/8-1/2 inch side to side and forward or backward to line it up for the side latches to work. On the window side the hinge is welded. I thought about cutting about a 4" hole in the middle so I could have access to both sides. Then put a metal cover over the hole.. The old bar is still in the cavity. Naturally I would appreciate any suggestions.

Solved. I drilled the metal parts between the holes and tapped them and put in new screws. Can't adjust it but I have never needed to anyway. This was not designed to be repaired. Welding the cavity up with no access to the part holding the hinge. !
