Windshield wiper help

My Bronco is a 72, not sure about windshield frame it came with the Bronco but wasn't mounted when I bought the Bronco. Yesterday I bought a wiper assembly supposed to be from a 70 Bronco, motor is a c9 part. Went to install, wiper shafts are to large to go through windshield frame. No holes in the frame line up with the linkage or bracket. Holes for the shafts are 24" apart. I'm thinking my frame is a 66-68 model.

Yep, that's a 68 frame. Good news is you can do like I, and others, and modify the linkage you have to work with that spacing. You may find this thread helpful: http://classicbroncos.com/forums/showthread.php?t=241101&highlight=wiper+dimensions

EDIT: You will also have to enlarge the holes where the wiper shaft sticks thru.

Thanks Teal for the help. Nothing on this Bronco is what it should be. The challenges of a 46yr. old Bronco.

Yea, the stuff that gets swapped out is crazy sometimes. Usually we find the later windshield frame on the earlier Broncos. You just never know though.
