I drove in a light rain yesterday and its time for some wiper blades for my EB. I think I need 11" but I cant' find anyone with 11" refills. I would like to get a good wiper like Bosch, Anco, or PIAA. Does anyone have any input for me? ?:?

I couldn't find a refill locally either, so I bought the blade witself that already has the new rubber. Theywere like 6 bucks or so a piece. They work great .

Good Luck,

help with wipers

You two are wasting your time with stock wipers. Do the rear heep wiper upgrade, go to: www.broncohio.com and look under tech and then spend the time and money. One of the better mods you will do to your old horse, I beleive if memory serves you can then run a 13-14 wiper.

I've been running the stock wipers for years, you'll need a Anco part # 20-11 for stock, or a 20-12 (more readily available, and 1" longer).

This is a blade and carrier.

The cherokee wiper blade conversion sure looks attractive, but I still haven't gotten around to doing it.

wiper blades

hey guys.... i second big muddy on the rear conversion. 16.00 per arm and 6.00 per blade, about 10 minutes a piece and what a difference!!! can't imagine using stock arms or blades...

where did you get yours for that price. all the parts stores around here have them for $25 each.

Go to your pull-n-save and get yourself two rear wiper arms. I bought a bunch of other items when I bought mine, but they will probably be less than $5 for the set. I even used the rubber that was there.

I also found that PIAA makes a silicon blade for these as well. I haven't checked into prices, but I was just curious when I saw an ad for silicon blades.

OK, I would like the Jeep wiper conversion. I looked at the instructions and I don't really undestand it to well. If someone will buy the new parts and re-size it for me I will gladly pay you for parts and your time. Anyone up for this, I am not to good a custom modifications.

If you have a hack-saw, pliers and a drill, you're in business. It's really easy! I would be willing to do it for you, but someone closer could probably save you on shipping. If you would like me to do a quick write-up I can.

I found NAPA item # 8195835 (the arm) but what blade will work with it. I hear that Bosch is supposed to be one of the best. Any professional comments on this?

if you look at the underside of your arm, there's a little lever you can flip up. that holds the arm at a certain length. flip that out, and shorten the arms a tad. i did and i'm running 13" blades on mine, made a nice difference in visibility.

OK, Everyonemake sure that these are the correct arms and baldes that will work on my EB. After looking at the instructions on Broncohio.com and all of the CB advice I think I may be able to accomplish this task on my own. Let me know if these are in fact the right items and I will get them ordered today.

Cool beans! Let us know! Be careful you drill the hole in the same place for the spring, otherwise they are very hard to put on. If you do, post up and I have a trick for you. Don't bust your knuckles for hours!!

How long are those stock Jeep blades?

I've got the arms and am ready to do this, but am having a hell of a time finding a decent blade that fits the Jeep arm nipple.

before you guys get too excited about the jeep conversion (I did it and love it!!--except for one thing).

There is another option. Wildhorses sells wiper arms and blades that will fold away from the windshield unlike the Cherokee setup.

http://www.wildhorses4x4.com/42.asp

It may not be a big deal to you. I thought I might try a set. It'll make it easier to clean the windows too.

Mick
