Later today I am going to look a t a '72 Bronco. I am looking for a daily driver so I can put the Mustang away for the winter and buy myself some time as I continue work on my '74 (EFI, serpentine, and other stuff). It is supposed to be rust free, 302, 3 spd on floor, and have new brakes. Price is okay. I am having trouble getting around the idea of buying something newer that costs a ton, has a bunch of miles, and devalues quickly.

May things work out as it is supposed to.

Pics time for the hungry! Below is the scoop on the Bronco and I am asking for opinions on what this Bronco is worth. I am looking for a reliable daily driver that will move my bass equipment until I get mine back on the road. If and when it comes time to part ways with this Bronco I would like to come as close to breaking even as I can, maybe even coming out ahead. I will give as much information as I can.

-It turns out the Bronco is a 1970. It runs great, but the body is rough with an above average amount of "What the hell was someone thinking" on mods. The floor boards are rust free and outside of surface rust the Bronco is not rotted. The guy bought it in 2004, did some work but it was then parked.
-There is AC (not working) with the compressor resting between the inner fender well and the grill, also there are holes where the lines are going through the cowl and plenty through the trans hump.
-Wheels and tires are in good shape with plenty of tread and a matching spare.
-Had to bend a few fan blades to give more clearance to the radiator (it has two spacers...why?). I have the 7 blade fan and spacer off off my '74 that I would replace with.
-The 302 runs great and it does have the original air cleaner assembly plus a new dual exhaust system. The Bronco drives well, brakes well, windshield wipers work, turn signals work, heater works with an on/off switch instead of the original.......I think the horn is a siren as I recall (didn't try it).
-Body work: Front fenders, grill, and hood need to be repaired or replaced. One small oil can dent behind drivers door, there is bondo in places. Flares need to be replaced.
-The hard top has no liner, but more importantly its needs the locking mechanism replaced so I could lock it. It has a door bolt lock on it that can only be done from the inside.
-It has a folding rear seat that is off of its mounts.
-Must needs to me are a fan shroud, rearview mirror on windshield (replacing the broken 7 mirrors in one that is sitting in the tub), windshield gasket as the original is rotted out, and door weather stripping.
-It has a Hurst floor shifter.
-Warn Premium Hubs.
-There is a few different alarm setups.......why? This and wires running everywhere that I will remove, bummer is the speaker holes in the doors.
-Old Smittybuilt tire and gas can carrier that needs a little tweaking.
-I am sure there is more..........

This bronco was fun to drive with me forgetting how rough it looks (it reminds me of my first Bronco, a 1966 with a 289). If the price is right I could see me driving this as a daily driver and having fun. I do value the opinions of the Bronco brethren on this board, so let me know what you think about this Bronco including what it is worth knowing that the pics are not the same as seeing it in real time. Many thanks, Z Bronco.

Do you have any Idea what is asking price is?Just a ballpark price from me I would say 2500 to 3500 maybe??,but around here on CL I have see people ask alot more than that for Broncos is same as cond.

Don't know if they ever get their price or not though!

If price is right I would buy it tweek on it and drive it!

I would rate it $4500-$5500. In Oklahoma, it would be listed for $12,000 and I'm not really exaggerating that much.

Love the sight of Bronco pic's in the morning. Looks pretty good to me. A little soap and water would be a big improvement. I'd be willing to spend $4500 - $5500 on it. I've seen much worse sell for more. Good luck and thanks for the pic's.;D

The owner of this Bronco is a longtime friend of the Mechanic who worked on the bronco in '06. I think he was thinking around $5500, but after the mechanic saw the condition yesterday, he is going to call him and I think the price will come down. I will keep you guys posted.
