• Be EXTREMELY cautious if someone offers to buy your Bronco for more than your asking price and sight unseen. ESPECIALLY if the buyer is overseas. It's probably a scam.

I was going to get my brother's 06 tundra doublecab, but after looking at it more, the towing capacity of around 6,100# just isn't going to cut it. I've always wanted a super duty, so I'm on the lookout for an 05 or 06 crew cab, PSD, 5.4, V10, doesn't matter. If any of y'all are looking to upgrade in the next couple months, let me know.

Looking for: captains chairs up front, short bed, leather, no lift.

My 2004 F250 Fx4 is about to be up for sale if you are interested. I'm the second owner and it has 141,000 miles. King Ranch, 6.0, no lift and bone stock except vent visors and bug shield.

why couldn't you have bought an 05?

I've read that the 05+ with coil springs is a much better ride and much smaller turning radius. Anyone had both and care to comment?

I had an 03' f250 CC LB 4x4 6.0l for 333k miles, and one of guys I duck hunt has a 07' F250 SB CC 4x4. I couldn't tell much difference in ride as far as smoothness, it just rides differently. Turning radius is less, but it's not a deal breaker for me. My 14' F250 gasser was one of the roughest of the SD I've owned. My 12' f350 dually rolls smoother than it did.

Just my $.02, but stick to the v10 or diesel, 5.4l should have never been put in those trucks.

I'd go test drive a couple of used ones, both with leaf and coil and see what you think.

A 2005 would've been nice but a good used diesel truck for a reasonable price is hard to find so I jumped on this 2004 when I found it. The original owner was a chicken farmer's wife and they were selling because she didn't drive it very much anymore. It's a white crew cab, forgot to mention that. Just replaced both batteries yesterday ($365) and all the shocks about a month ago with Ranchos.

I looked at both an '04 and an '06 CC 6.0 when I was shopping for an F250 11 years ago - ride was not very different, but definite improvement on the turning radius....which of course is put to shame by our beloved EBs! I agree with Okie, the only way you will know is to test drive both - and see which you prefer. Diesel repairs can be more expensive, but torque and mileage are better than gas, especially for towing. (Still have my '06 with 40K miles on it - but like my Bronco, sorry my steel children are not for sale!). Best of luck with your search.

You will regret going 5.4, absolutely gutless.
Maybe look into used US Forest Service trucks. Decent deals if you don't mind the color

I was all set to go get that truck, cash in hand. Couldn't get the seller to give me a VIN or carfax. Getting a deal too good to pass up on my brother's 2005 tundra double cab. I may be able to make that work with an aluminum trailer, will know after I get it.

no longer looking for a super duty
