• Be EXTREMELY cautious if someone offers to buy your Bronco for more than your asking price and sight unseen. ESPECIALLY if the buyer is overseas. It's probably a scam.

I'm needing a set of stock height front coils for my 76. The P.O. had already replaced the rear leafs with a stock height set from Duff's. The front coils appear to be original and sagging about 2 inches! With the 2 inch body lift, the bronco sits about factory height in the front, so the Bronco has quite a bit of rake to it and looks more like a street racer than a 4x4. I'd like to level it out until I can afford to do it right with a 3.5 inch suspension lift. Let me know if anyone has any laying around that they're not using.... Thanks.;D

what you describe is not uncommon for those rear leafs. you might want to look into a 2" spring for the front.

Ride Height with 2" spring

Does anyone know what the distance from the frame to front axle would be with a 2 inch lift coil? I could jack up the body and measure to see if it would have the stance I like, if I knew the measurement... I want it to sit level or slightly higher in the rear. I guess I'll call Duff's and see what they recommend since the rear leaf set is Duff's....

I've got a set of "stock height" Duff coils that I just replaced with WH varrible rate. It too now has the rake from the "stock height" Duff 5 pack in back. I just bought an unknown brand 2 inch lift coils that I plan to put on and they are for sure 2 inches taller than the Duff coils. I wanted the better ride of the WH springs but that rake isn't going to cut it. I think I'm going to go with the 2in. and if I need to add a lift block or something until I can get a set of nice 11 pack leaves so be it. So my old "stock height" (probalby about 1.5 inch over actual stock) Duff and the stock height WH varrible rate are for sale.

Sounds like you're in the exact same boat I am. I have the 5 leaf duff's as well. Can you tell me what the measurement is from the axle tube to the bottom of the frame is with the WH Variable Rate Spring? Let me know how the new 2 inch coils turn out. Where did you get them? Thanks,
Jeff

Got Springs?

You find some coils yet? I have a new set of stock height on the Bronco and a used set of 2.5's in a box. When I get the 3.5's you can have both or either. Whatever works for ya. I'm in Trenton, TX and we are in Sherman quite often.

Regards,
Shane

Shane,
Sounds great, don't know which would give me the stance I'm after, so having the option is always a good thing. I live off Hwy 11 by the municipal airport in Sherman. You'll have to bring the Bronco by sometime for a visit! Thanks,
Jeff
