I bought the Terra Comp fiberglass body during the mass buy a little while ago. I decided not to go with the one-piece front end and use the parts I already have. For those of you who are/will be doing this could you answer me one thing. How did you attach the core support to the fiberglass? When I talked to Terra Comp they said that a lot of their customers go the same route as me. Anyone on this site do it this way? Thanks.

You mean the core suppport to the inner fender? I drilled out the spot welds and coated it with por-patch. Then I riveted it together while the por-patch was stil wet.

Sorry Ken I worded that wrong. I meant to say the core support and inner fenders to the fiberglass body. I guess it would be the area right below the fresh-air intake. I'm not sure, is that the kick panel?

Thanks Ken I was kind of thinking of doing it that way but I wasn't sure. I guess I still won't know for sure until I do it. My dad probably has some genius idea like he always does.

Mine's all glass, but I drilled 4-5 5/16" holes, used short stainless bolts and caulked around the edges. I used it that way for 10 years and then took it apart. Worked well and presented no problems for repair. I cant imagine the steel would be much different.

My fenders are bolted along the front edge of the door jam (under the door inserts). The bottom rear edge of the fender will receive some kind of custom bracket that bolts to the bottom of the fender then up to the firewall. Front edge of the fenders are bolted to the vertical flange that is on either side of my new core support (new replacement panel from JBG) I don't run inner fenders.

The front end of the Green EB is fastened the same way. There has been some cracking along a 1" part of the top of the fender at the hood, but that's from serious jumping. I don't think with "regular" use it would be a problem.

I also have the terra comp tub, and I went with a steal front clip. It is pretty easy to attach.

Put your clip on and get the 2 bolts to the frame in, and then fit your fenders. Once you do that you can get the right height for the inner fenders, when you do just clamp them in place.

Then take off your fenders, and drill 2 holes right into the kick plate, and bolt with some good hardware. The I took some smaller bolts, and bolted the wheel wells to the the kick panels.
