I dont know, I thought this show was a step up. No longer are the fuzzy chins doing any of the real work, their just yappers. I just wonder who's really guiding them mechanics. Probably this site for the wealth of information it holds. There are alot of pitfalls taking a rusty Bronco apart and then trying to figure out where stuff is supposed to go even with new pannels. After this show your going to see alot of hacked up rusty Bronco's comming up for sale next winter when people see $35,000 price tags on chopped up Bronco's with just a few patch pannels welded in and a shiny new face lift. They will start a cutting and then wonder why stuff doesnt fit and then bail. We'll just have to wait until next week and see what $35000 buys in Texas. Time to get to work on my extra pile of rust while the gettins are good.

I wish the show was more about restoring the cars and less about Richards stupid buying and selling antics.
It bugs me that they think that we are so stupid that we will believe that Richard bought that Charger for $4500.00 and brought it right back to the next auction and sold it for $800.00.

Hx214;2281921 (I was also surprised to see one from Colorado look that chewed up. I thought they used sand and gravel out there.... Mine came from Colorado and all its body panels/rockers are nice and clean)[/QUOTE said:
Just like most of the people here in Colorado - most of the classic cars and trucks came here from somewhere else. Just because it has Colorado tags on it does not make it a Colorado Truck.

And Colorado used a salt/sand mixture for decades leading up to the early 2000's then switched to Mag-chloride (which has its own series of issues). We have our share of rust issues - not like the rust belt states but the rust they found sure looks a lot like the rust we found on our bronco (which came from Cali with it's PO by the way)

I'm going to have to say that this kind of thing already happens, A LOT!

Yeah, I did a search on eBay for EBs sold in the last 90 days and there are a lot of high priced sales. I think generally people here undervalue EBs but maybe that's because they know how much money and time it takes to get them the way the want them.

Maybe the Barrett Jackson auction that showed an early bronco go for $500,000 got their wheels spinning for a good idea for the show. .

I believe the shows were filmed well before BJ came on this year....like last fall maybe.

at least it's not Ian working on his freakin heeps... I'd watch something else if it was more 'ford' related, instead of all that..

know what I mean man?

I'm not sure when the started filming but I picked up the hardtop from them on December 8th and the build was pretty much done. They were filming the exhaust being done when I got there. They cranked it up and gave it hell. It sounded great! They had a setback while testing the exhaust but I'll leave it at that since I'm not sure if it will be on the show next week.

I like the show but can pick apart most of the episodes. It's clear some of teh "drama" is for TV only.

Sue rocks......she cracks me up and comes off as so honest and original. If it wasn't 6 plus housrs away, my factory bench seat would be at her show( ASM Auto Upholstery)right now.

I think people view Broncos differently. I looked for a long time before deciding to build my own and saw prices all over the place. I'm sure NixTrix is getting $40K+ for his, and I talked to Bronco Connection recently and they are working on 33 Broncos at the moment, he said ranging in price from $45K to over $100K. I think the people paying these prices probably aren't followers on this site. Then of course there's ICON.

They build more intresting offroad trucks on TRUCKS than they do Extreme 4X4 that shows to trendy for my taste. Im not much on just rock crawling or simply sinking rig in mud for no reason. Owning a Bronco is unique because not only are you restoring/building/fixing up a classic truck just like you would a classic car execpt your restoring somthing to get dirty and pound on it a bit. Unlike a classic car that stays clean and goes to shows/cruise nights, or the occasional quarter mile pass. And sees no road salt for sure. Thats pretty genralized i know but i think theres some truth in that.

These episodes available online anywhere for those of us without cable?

I did a quick search and all I could find were instant downloads from amazon, iTunes, and maybe Netflix. Amazon and iTunes want $1.99. Let me know if you want more info on those. I'll see if I can find anything else.

When he paid 5500 for that truck, I was wanting to call him and sell him mine. I bought my 67 off eBay for 1100 and the body was in about the same condition.
