    Windshield Shipping ??

I got an e-bay windshield. No issues and a great price, no reason to pay more from another place in my opinion. Xltboy

4R70w conversion - drive shaft question

I think what happened in my case is i measured for and purchased the rear drive shaft before i had installed the seats, roll bar, tailgate (No top) and then i also installed shims to adjust the pinon angle. My original length ordered was around 33" (I think i ordered 32.75 to be exact). after...

    4r70w question

Below is what I found with a quick search on Google. Note: this is commonly called the Ford Small-block V8 pattern, though it is used in some "big block"-sized V8's as well as some V6's and I6's. 200 I6 1978-1983 only, partial (4 of 6 bolts) pattern. 250 I6 255 V8 289 V8 -...

    exhaust, headers back

I ran 2.5 all the way back with dump behind the wheels. I also have shorty headers. No issues servicing anything, I had to remove the 4r70w with the d20 attached and it all dropped out without touching the exhaust. Driver side is routed high enough so you can get the drain plug out of the D20...

    4R70W Rebuild Tools

So i did my own, drove it about 300 miles and then OD failed so took it to a shop to have them go through it. Not sure what i did wrong... was a sickening feeling when i had neutral in OD. I purchased a ford repair manual from like 2001 or 02 which goes through all of the steps to disassemble...

    347 idle rpm

If you cant adjust the idle RPM below 1000rpm then I think you have something wrong. My blue print 347 once warmed up can be adjusted to any rpm desired down to the point where it wont run. To me there is something not letting the throttle plates close when the idle speed screw is adjusted. Is...

    Stainless Windshield Hinge

I put mine in when i was doing all of the body work so i painted the windshield frame separately and then bolted it in. You would need to fold it down, drill out the spot welds holding the hinge to the body, remove the windshield frame and then drill out the spot welds holding the hinge to the...

    Stainless Windshield Hinge

I bolted mine in. Used hex head flat head screws and i think they were 10-24. Used stainless screws and stainless nylon lock nuts. It can be bolted in with the dash installed however is much easier to bolt in the hinge without the dash, add the dash and then put the windshield frame on. Xltboy

    Centech and license plate light

I ran both wires from the light down through the tailgate holes and terminated in a weather tight plug. hook up the centech green to the other side of the plug and then run a ground wire and attach it to the body at a convenient point for aground. If you don't put a plug in you wont be able to...

    Blueprint 351w

I put in a 160 deg thermostat when i first assembled everything in an effort to help keep temperatures down. This winter i will be swapping this out for a 180 or 190 as the system just runs to cold and takes to long to get up to temp. I have an aluminum radiator but the standard 7 blade fan and...

    Blueprint 351w

I have a BP 347 in my vehicle. Came with a dyno sheet showing 20 more HP and 40 more FT Lb torque than advertised. Long mileage warranty which I will never reach and so much easier than trying to piece all of the parts together myself and then likely being disappointed when something didn't work...

    15" or 17" Wheels

if you aren't trying to clear brakes or tie rod ends then i would suggest 15" wheels as there are more choices for wheels with a 3.5" backspacing. When you go to 17" wheels the choices for 3.5" backspacing are very limited and you end up having to run spacers if you don't like the few wheels...

My first test drive with the new 347

my carbureted 347 came ready to run minus the front dress. I did have to remove the distributor to put a fitting in the intake but other than that it was add gas and power to HEI and go. So far very satisfied with this engine. Xltboy

    Body work and paint cost

one point of reference. For my experience I did all of the metal work myself and the painting of the tub, inside of fenders and wheel wells, frame, etc. I had new rockers, front fenders, grill, fiberglass hood and new tailgate. To get the minor exterior body work done (block sanding), prime and...

Wheel Spacers . . . . Add to check list

I just purchased new 17"x9" and did not want spacers and i found there are not many options when you try to go with 3.5" back spacing (-38mm offset). 15" wheel might have more options but i also couldn't find much in 16" either. Most of the wheel options i found available are in zero offset...

    How to remove herculiner?

Did you try one of those Brillo pad type paint removers on a 3.5 inch angle grinder? It made quick work of the original undercoating on my tub when i stripped it. i think i used like three of them for the whole job. Made a mess with the stuff flying everywhere but nothing a good shower didn't...
