History
My dad bought this car for a project, but he lost interest in it. since it was sitting in my garage I decided to start working on it. I started replacing the convertible top with one he had bought on ebay with a how to video. in the mean time I helped him get his 94 mustang fixed. once he saw I was interested he decided to just give the 89 to me. since then I have done a lot of mechanical work, but I have left the cosmetics mostly alone. it is a 30 footer for sure, but since I live on a gravel road that is a plus. I am not worried about ruining a perfect paint job and I can enjoy driving it.

Modifications

Exterior Mods
fordstrokers.com DIY 331 stroker. with AFR 185 heads custom camshaft forged pistons, rods, and crank. vortec supercharger. AOD transmission rebuilt by me with monster in a box kit from monster transmissions. stock 8.8 rear axle with 3.73 rear gears Dad and I installed
Interior Mods
stock with just new shocks and rubber replaced.
Drivetrain Mods
fiberglass svo hood, and styling bar
Suspension Mods
the interior was a mess when i got it. smelled like mold and looked like crap. I replaced the carpet, personally re upholstered the seats with TMI vinyl upholstery. replaced the door panels. I added the styling bar, replaced the rear window motors. converted from 89 style to 90 style rear quarter panels to accomadate the styling bar. new instrument cluster with autometer gauges. new stereo and speakers. and probably a bunch of other stuff.
Wheels and Tires
weld in subframe connectors. I had those welded in by a local mechanic friend with a 4 post lift so the suspension would be properly loaded when they went in.
