My 1967 u13 marti report shows that I have “free wheeling” hubs.

I want to go back to original, but I don’t know what was original equipment in 1967.

The MPC for trucks shows that it could either be the “warn” hub, or the “spicer Hub-Lok”

I have a set of Ford logo Spicer hubs, but those didn’t exist until C8TZ-1104-A. So 1968+

There was a C6TZ-1104-B, but I’ve never seen one.

Does anyone know what an original 1967 Bronco locking hub looks like?

(Please don’t tell me about modern replacements, or upgrades. I’m looking for original equipment...thanks!)

Hey James, there was a thread recently with pics of what was at least found on the '66 models. Could be the same one as a '67, but I don't know that for a fact.
I'll try to find it, but I think thegreatjustino posted it up. Maybe it's in my "Photo Shoot" thread.

Let you know what I find if you don't find it first.

Not the pic I was thinking of, but it's the same lockout knob I was thinking of.
I believe they were either bare aluminum, or zinc plated metal, but I remember them being silver.

And looking closer at it, this one looks almost like a painted-over Warn standard (#9790) instead. (except for the possible 3-screw ring that is)
I'll hunt for a better pic.

Hi Paul,
Does that mean that I'm looking for a set of spicer hubs with dials that look like this pic? (3 screws and a metal tab)

Or am i looking for Warn hubs?

I think you're looking for the ones in your picture.

As Todd stated above, those ran into 67'. Any Warns that were used during those years will have 8 screws rather than 6 like you see now. They came with a Warn "how to" sticker also to put on the dash, etc.

Are you saying that 67 Bronco's were delivered with Warn 8 screw (brass dial) hubs at the same time as the Spicer Hub-Lok?

If that's true, I'm going to feel pretty silly for throwing away my last set of 8 screw Warns...(but they were in bad shape)

I've never heard of Warns coming from the factory until late in '79. Doesn't mean it didn't happen, just means I've never seen it.

Dealer installed has two different meanings:

1. Installed by the dealer during pre-delivery and supplied by the factory with the vehicle. (Like floor mats, mirrors, radio antennas, etc)
2. Installed by the dealer outside of the pre-delivery process using parts supplied by the parts department. (Accessories, etc)

The first type would be noted on the build sheet or in the factory documentation. The second type is not.

My marti indicates that the vehicle was ordered with free running hubs (likely as a additional cost option???).

If it left the factory with free running hubs, then the hubs would have been installed prior to delivery...or sitting in a box inside the Bronco.

Sorry to be so picky...but I want it to be correct. A 4 barrel 289 High performance engine was also available from the parts department in 67, and could have been installed by the dealer prior to delivery. But it wouldn’t be “factory” and absent documentation proving installation prior to delivery it wouldn’t be “original.”

That's correct, Ford factory didn't put Warns on your bronco. If you're wanting Marti Report correct then don't use the Warns, find a set of alloy 3 screw. It was either the free running alloy hubs or slugs from the factory.

Okie4570 Thank you so much! I think that's the C4TZ-1104-D Dana Spicer Hub-lok. I'm on the hunt...

They pop up here from time to time - I'm sure you'll find a set. I'd recommend starting with eaglenest66 (Tim). He may likely have a set for sale.
