Hey Guys! I have had a crazy busy summer and the other day I decided I just needed a day/night off so I drove the ole bronco up to the mountains for a quick camp by a swimmy hole. I only took a couple pics but thought I'd share since its been a while.

that would be a nice little get away from all the BS

I took a pretty neat pic I thought Id share with you guys that haven't seen it on instagram. I tweaked on my idle jets as one of em got a piece of trash in it and afterwards I went down the road just to drive it. I had my camera with me so I pulled onto this gravel powerline road and put my camera on a toolbox and lit the bronco with my cell phone. Turned out pretty cool. I love this bronco... I think I'll get my hood painted back to match the original paint soon. I am obviously not on the painters priority list but I'm in no rush either. I'd live to have it done before super cel east tho. That's a nice shot. Remember it next year when it's time to submit pics for the CB wall calendar.

Here's some pics of the ole '69 in the snow from a few weeks back. This is my favorite area to drive up to when we get winter weather. Unfortunately they salt the mess out of the roads once we get our first decent snowfall of the season so I won't take many more trips up this winter in the EB. The old forest road leads to this fantastic view of Linville Gorge. The road is steep, gets washed out pretty bad and definitely requires 4 wheel drive in the snow and sometimes even when it's just wet out. It can be sketchy because much of the road has a pretty disastrous drop off. It makes for a good time when I go out alone because overall it is just a road but can be exhilarating and fun. 3E0A7793.jpg

Beautiful pictures Jesse! Nothing like hangin' out with your "best friend" right?! Especially in an early bronco surrounded my mother nature's master piece!

Gosh, its been a long time since I have posted about the pebble beige bronco. I still have it and drive it quite regularly. I literally haven't done anything but drive it. Last year before I went to supercel east a buddy painted the blue hood to match the bronco. Its not a perfect match but I have been living with it. Wouldn't mind redoing it in the future but it will probably wait until rust is repaired and needs to be blended.

I did just pic up a half cab top for it this week. SurferB shared it with me on Sunday afternoon and I drove up to Cleveland to snag it on Monday. I really dig the new look. I do think it is a 66 top, I don't know the differences but it matches the one on my '66 U14. I haven't drilled any holes to install it and haven't decided if I am going to or not. The indexing pins lined up with a bolt hole for the top so I threaded the pins and put nuts to hold the rear. 4 or 5 holes line up on the windshield frame and I put little c clamps on the outer front corners.

I have been doing yard work with this bronco and really needed something to make it a little bit easier than the full top and this bronco was the perfect candidate being that it already had a bulkhead in it.

Love the new look and hauling a little firewood has to be a lot more fun and easier with a half cab than a wagon.

Hey I like it either with the 1/2 top or full top! But if your going to keep working it the 1/2 top will be better. I have a U14 1969 that was that color originally but has been painted boy I wish it looked as good as yours .

I think it looks pretty cool in those photos! I really like the usability of the half cab and will probably keep it on there for quite some time.

While my '70 has been out in TN with Brandy, the pebble beige has been my main squeeze end daily driver. I can't seem to get enough of it with the half cab on there. I absolutely love the look and usability of this bronco now more than ever. Here are some photos from the other week when we had a cool morning and I took off for a drive up to my rents in the mountains.
