As the title says. Wondering if anyone owns a junk yard on our forums. (A real one, not just a hoarding problem!)

I do! No wait, it's just the hoarding problem you mentioned.%)

Good question though, I'm curious to see who does.

Hoarding problem?

We have Broncos, hoarding is not a problem for us.
It is our normal natural condition.

I do not have a hoarding problem...more like a "Fording" problem. I have a local one that is 6 miles from me, is still an old school pick and pull. I can haggle the prices and can get in on Sundays.

A good friend of mine DOES actually own a junk yard, car crusher and all. What are you needing some special odd part not Bronco related?

The founder of the Project Bronco forum and web site, Paul, owns one. I'm not sure exactly where though... LOL Big help, huh?

I worked at a junkyard/auto repair shop until carpal tunnel surgery forced me to find a new profession

I don’t work at a junkyard. I work at a “premium “ salvage yard. I have been there three years as a dismanter and although every car is Junk it’s life at our yard is short. Once I remove all god d parts and get the free gas. ( I have not bought gas in three years.) the shells are crushed monthly. In 40 hours I dismantle 10 vehicles. All engines/trans, fluids and body parts air bags lights removed. Super duties to fwd garbage cars.
Millions of dollars in used junk parts.

Sounds a lot like my old job, except all the free gas went into one of the 2 yard trucks (after waiting for the dirt and debris to settle to the bottom of the bucket, this made it ‘premium’ gas) and if the yard trucks were full it went into the boss’ truck %) boss always kept a close eye on the catalytic converters I removed ;)

Curious as well

So this scout I picked up nothing, I am looking for a driveline for it. Looking at the newer 14-16 L83 engine with 4x4 6L80 trans. However would consider a 6.0 from a pre 2013 vehicle as well. Having zero luck in my home state of Virginia. And hoping a bronco buddy might be able to help me find something for a reasonable price.
