Buy a reman or used eec? What's your opinion?

I got brave enough to try and repair mine after reading this forum and some of the other 5.0 forums. As Viperwolf said.. I have seen people repair the capacitors, solder wires and other stuff very easily...

If you can get it working but you are still not confident in it ... it would make a great spare for those long trips. I carry an extra computer in mine.

The reman eec came in this afternoon, I swapped it in and it fires right up. Now to shoe horn it past the tuffy glove box and the heater box, where it goes without scratching anything up...;D
