Clutch for NV4500

I chose the "regular old" style clutch. Running the same flywheel that came stock on my 302. Still running the same diaphragm pressure plate I got as a stock replacement about 10 years ago. I did have the flywheel and pressure plate resurfaced about a year ago. And just had that stock Chebby clutch disk rebuilt.

I had the work done at AZ Brake and Clutch. I had a discussion with the techies there about different friction materials, and there recommendation was to stay with the stock organic friction material. Any other material is designed for more grab, which is not what I need. I need to be able to slip the clutch.

I had to have one custom made because I went with an NV4500 out of a diesel truck. You should be able to call a clutch shop and give them the specs of what you need.

Thats what I thought, but I was hoping that the nib clutch I had might work. Is anybody using the mechanical linkage.

Mechanical clutch linkage? I am. Not too many other choices, besides mounting an external slave cylinder. Not a big fan of that...

Now, if McLeod were to have a hydraulic throwout bearing that would work, I'd be interested!!!
