• Be EXTREMELY cautious if someone offers to buy your Bronco for more than your asking price and sight unseen. ESPECIALLY if the buyer is overseas. It's probably a scam.

Consider finding some 6 bolt knuckles and converting to the GM disk brakes, would be easier to source parts in the future, and knuckles are more plentiful. Good luck with your search!

The 78 bronco brake parts would work fine. The 77 bronco axle is a good one but I dont need it. Thanks for the offer. I would be interested in 78 parts. it would have the knuckles that I am looking for , plus the caliper brackets and everything. let me know a price. Thank you again.

Hey bax,
I'm looking at maybe getting a 77 axle, is there a difference in my axle thickness between the 77 and my 74? Also will it be a straightforward fit for stock version?
Thanks

Don't know about the axle thickness but I think it's the same. As far as the swap it's a direct bolt in as long as the gears match. You will have an issue with your tie-rods. The 76-77 knuckles kick outward where the tie-rods bolt up making for a wider set up. Not sure if they need adapter bushings like 78-79 knuckles.

2 different thicknesses on the years between 77 and 74 and I dont know why. There is not a different rating on the axle with the thick or this tubes. they are the same. I have found that every 76 /77 axle that comes out of an F100 has the thick tubes. The 150's vary. Dont know why but I am always looking for that axle housing.

wait a minute I just realized you are talking about a EB axle. They are all 3/8'' tubes. No changes in tube size on the 44's used in EB's. Yes everything will bolt up but there are different pieces used for drum and disk set ups. But the axle is the same. Like Steve L said. The bronco disk brake knuckle and the f100 / 150 disk knuckle are different. I swap all my bronco axles to F100 / 150 knuckles because the steering connection allows for more offset with a 15'' wheel. It's more gooder.

maybe I can use my knuckles? I sure would like to step up to the 1/2 walled axle
