Hey, thanks for the KUDOS. But, you can probably see, that I was hot and heavy on the build for a long time. Things have really slowed down but I'm getting motivated to pick it back up. I'd really like to take it to Super Celebration in TN next year for the 50th.

Fortunately for me, the tub has the metal bracing all throughout the tub. Sometimes even in places that surprised me. Good luck with your project. Do you have a build thread going on it?

Yes I do! Check it out.. I had to make the metal braces..

Ok, not sure how I am going to move the needle on this build today. But, one way or the other, I am going to get "something" positive done on it.!!

Ok, time to bring this build thread back from the dead! Found some great guys in Elgin that are sure fire car/truck nuts. Chris and Chris and their friends are truly a bunch of fun guys that enjoy wrenching and some drinkin every now and then, and then,:)
Chris has a great shop, has a couple of Broncos himself and some other very cool shi* he is working on.
Chris read through my build thread today and wants to help get the Bronco done during the winter months in time for Super Cel.. So, once I can get it over to the shop and map out a plan with the guys, I'll start posting up more progress as things proceed. Lord I'd love to get this thing done. Three years and counting.... (I know some of you have that figure beat to hell....)

We have movement on this thing!

Well, the start of some movement. Some of you know that my 30 year career with a national not for profit has had me move my family many times throughout parts of America.
This rig has had work done on it in Florida, New Hampshire, Philadelphia and now in the Chicago area. Found some super great guys at a car show showing my blue Bronco and things just kinda' fell together with them and and they are really some great friends now.
Chris had me bring the copper rig to his shop and we are moving forward! a lot of little things to do and a few larger things. So I'll keep the thread current after being dormant for so long - having it in a shop versus a home garage is a huge help in a ton of ways.
First to tackle is the heat and ac lines and putting the exhaust back on from getting it ceramic coated.
It won't be a total trailer queen by any means, hope to get it close, but I certainly intend to drive it -- often. Super Cel is the goal!;)

Ok, progress, had the entire exhaust Cerakoted (has a 7 year warranty so we'll see), got it back on and polished up the electric QTP cut outs - got it all reinstalled and switched to all stainless bolts etc. Got a fuel door and keeping with a brushed look, opted to go this route. Bigger project we are working is the hose/routing of A/C-heat. Going with a plan to get it done and look as best as we can get for now and later route it all hard line.

Dynamat installed on the hard top

And,,,, a little more progress today. For those that might ever wonder, it took right at 32 sq. feet of Dynamat to cover the hard top. Insane the difference when you tap on the top with and without this stuff on the top. Small progress, but it's something.....

Doors are just about done

Ok, put Dynamat in the doors like the top, Stewie put them together and hung them and did a great job just a few more things to do on the passenger door. This thing might just actually make it to Super Cel.

I'm kinda' diggin' the Hydrodipped door panels, something different anyway....

2nd fuel door finally came in

2nd fuel door put on. Stewie has completed hangin' the doors. They are super sweet. Super easy to open and close and with that Dynamat in in the doors the things shut like a new car. Gaps are about as good as good can get. Remember, this is a glass tub and it's not such an easy process to get a bunch of metal to work so well with fiberglass. Happy enough to just about piss my pants.

Got the Suede headliner installed this weekend

Took the new stock replacement headliner and had suede applied to it. I really like the color contrast to the rest of the rig. Fits like a glove.
