I'm looking to install a set of full size axles from a 79 f150 or 78 f250 under my 69. The rear should be simple but not sure how to go about doing the front. I want to stay with coil springs. Anyone done this and have good ideas or know of any manufacctor that makes kits, with the needed brackets and such.

Duffs can get you the C wedges and upper and lower buckets. Give them a call and thy can tell you what you need.

The front axle under the f150 will already have the wedges, you just will need/want to relocate either the bottom of the spring in or the top out. Duffs has an upper coil bucket that will extend to the extra width. for the f250 I believe those are leafs in the front right? that would be alot more work and I think those are still dana 44s, if i was gonna put an 8 lug under miy truck I would make sure and get a 60!

FYI, the WMS-WMS of the F150 = 65", F250/F350 = 68.5".

F150 should be 67"

I didn't know there were different width HP D44's under the 1/2-ton Fords, but I can say that both the '76 HP D44 on my shop floor for the Bronco and the '77 HP D44 under my '77 F150 measure 65.5" WMS-WMS with the matching 9" at 65".

As much grief as it was getting them I think Ballistic adjustable coil buckets are the way to go.

Almost Dead set on going coil over in the front when I get the money, but If not I have been eyeing those for a while. They look badass! They already offset enough for a 79 44?

Look at my superduty 3 link swap thread.

I would go with the f150 if i had to choose for a couple reasons. One being c-wedges vs leaf which will be easier to modify. Two its 5 lug so you can us your original rims. The only brackets I think you will need (if using the f150) are a track bar riser, new leaf spring perches, and duffs full width coil towers(towers optional). You will need custom steering linkage and track bar as well, do to the length difference. Your yokes on the diffs will not work with your drive shafts. F150 and f250 I believe used 1330 yokes and the early bronco used 1310 yokes. You should be able to just swap yoke from your old diffs too the new diffs (if in good shape). I dont know of any kit you can buy. Everything you need will have tobe pieced together. Hope this helps.

Just cut some brackets off my frame and D60 front that were a POs attempt at a full width suspension... Too bad you weren't closer, I would make you a great deal!!

You may want to look for a '76 or '77 F-150 axle. They've got weld-on wedges instead of the cast ends on the later axles, so they're easier to modify. Those specific years also had thicker axle tubes.
