Hi all!

As my post said, how do I remove yellow plastic driven gear from the speedo cable? I am changing the cable and trying to figure out how to do it. I might get a new driven gear as well since it might be culprit of my problems. Also, can I drive my Bronco while waiting for the parts if old driven gear is out?

Thanks,

AJ

Small metal C-clip holds it on.

You can drive the Bronco without the cable. Clearly you'd have no speedometer or odometer working. You'll also have gear oil slightly sloshing out of the transfer case because of the hole for the cable.
