Did a search and found plenty of posts about using 2 inch exhaust tubing for repairing lower tailgate rust. Does anyone have pics they could post showing the steps for that repair? Either using the lower tailgate patch panel or the 2'' exhaust tubing? I have not ever tried repairing rust, but figured this repair might be a good place for me to start learning. Pics always help me more than words! Thanks!

I planned on using 2" EMT for the repair, I'm just waiting for the new tailgate skin to be delivered to move forward on the fix. I may just bend some sheet metal on a brake to use.

With a couple metal rolling tools and a little patience you can fix most of the issues yourself. Just take your time and work things little by little.

The vendors also send a replacement piece that goes up to the groove on the bottom of the tailgates that could work as well.
