Reverse Signal on a Gen 1 Coyote and 6R80 Swap

I'm 99.99% positive there's a way to get the reverse output signal form the 6r80, I have a colleague that's using the US Shift Quick 6 controller in a Supra with the 6r80 and the US Shift is getting the reverse signal from the trans via the harness (looks like stock harness).

Has anyone solved for this without using the dakota GSS-3000 ?
