HA! The new one is roped off! Unreal.

Actually last October when Ford brought the three new models everything was roped off and you couldn’t get close to anything. This year was totally different. Not only did they encourage you to climb in, touch, poke, prod and mess with all the models you could sign up to test drive the Sport or be driven in the 2 or 4 door.

First day the Broncos were all sparkly clean, and even though washed daily you’ll see the progression in appearance from mall crawler to mud runner.

Really wasn’t interested as I don’t have one on order, but Tug (tugross302) insisted it was a must do. Glad to have listened to him. The drivers were all off road guides at the like of Moab or desert racers, etc. The test route was a narrow one lane logging road up the side of a ridge that Ford had rented. The drivers were not shy about putting these rigs thru their paces and did NOT hold back ripping thru the woods - it was a blast and the Broncos are quite capable right out of the box. Still not looking to buy a new ride, but was impressed with the on and off road manners.

Tried to upload a short video of the one ahead of us negotiating the hairpin turn by locking the inside rear wheel but it didn’t work.....pretty cool feature.

Driver told us all of these pre-production Broncos will be evaluated then crushed at the end of the program. Offered to give the Area 51 2-door a good home, but they didn’t take me up on it.....

Last pic isn’t a Bronco, but neat Ford combo back in the trailer parking area.

There was only one EB there that had Coconuts on the winch bumper!!!;D;D;D

Ya' just can't get away from "Tasker"!!!%)%)

And Yes FRANKO was there, he came in Thurs. nite, was there all day Friday and said if it was raining when he got up Sat. he was going to South Fla.!!!

And when your alum. fender falls under the tire at 60mph, it'll flat spot your tire!!!! Only 40 miles from home so no problem.%)%)%)

Nope Brian, can’t really take credit for that one - it’s all Tug’s fault, he started it! But glad you thought it was worth the price of admission.

I got lucky. Went on a ride in a 4 door with Tug and tagged along on a ride in a 2 door with Mary. The four door driver went over the rocks but that part was closed when we took the two door. He really got on it on the downhill run...

I’ll be looking for my commission check from Ford this week. I had already ordered one but I was doing fine waiting. After riding in it now I’m stoked

So Wild Horses isn't the only one to have trailer drama experiences on road trips after all!
Clean and tidy that one though. And you got to keep all the parts (except for the flat tire) to boot.

Glad you were close to home, but what happened? Welds crack, or bolts come loose? Or some load pushing on the fenders perhaps?

Re-movible fenders, 3/8" thumb bolts on each end, I carry spares and check at each stop. Never had one come out, I have lost one when they were removed to drive the crawler on??? Glad it was minor!!!;D;D;D
