I've never had a dashboard in either of my EB's. Removed them for rebuild and never replaced the old worn out dash. This year, I received a new WH dashboard as a Christmas present. I'm ambivalent about putting it in as I think I actually prefer no dashboard. Just thought I'd see what others thought.

If you are talking about the dash pad, I think they look better without them, unless you are going for all original.

Yes, I'm talking about the dash pad. I think I agree with you. Not sure I want to put it in.

Small world! I too received a new Dash Pad for Christmas this year. My original was sunken, cracked and recovered with brown vinyl. Which itself was sunken, cracked and peeling. My wife got tired of looking at "that pile of turd sitting on the dash" so she ordered a new one from Tom's. Me likey.

I like to run mine without, especially since mine run dash bars on the cage, looks less cluttered that way.

I kinda like the pad that goes straight across, I think it is the 66 dash pad. One of the vendors are selling them now.

I have one but haven't put it on either. I kinda like it without. I think I will put it on and see how I feel about it.

It's a hard decision damnit. The pad sticks out about 5 inches or so. No pad is such a clean look.

I like mine. My sunglasses have a home right where the vents come out. If you dont (and santa is ok with it) sell it or exchange it. Those things are pricey!

The only dashpad I like is the early straight model. The later one does not look good IMHO

The first thing that popped into my head was "how do you wear out a dash?". I think they look better without the pad.

I like the look with and without mine looks like crap an will probably take it off . AS far as safety I have the bar going just over the top of it and you would hit it before the pad :-[

Interesting how the thread commentators mostly vote against it, but the poll is showing slightly in favor of it (so far).

I like the no pad look and I like the new pad look(not the cracked old one). I would go this way with it. If my kids or the wife bought it for me I would put it on so they feel part of passion that is CB's. If someone else gave it to me I would try to return and get something more needed. My .02

My Mom and Dad gave it to me. My Mom could care less... of course. My Dad likes it, and wants it. I keep my Bronco at my Dad's house so he has something to tinker with... that and my truck and my motorcycles. Dad get's lots of tinkering on toys of mine that my Mom won't let him have. Which of course, means I will likely put it on tomorrow.

I am interested to see the poll starting to shift toward having the dash.

So how bout it Mark.. are you pad or steel man? :p
