I am in the last stages of making final tweaks to my tub! I need some fuel door suggestions. I really like the "77" style doors but they are hard to source. What are others using? The new quarters are screaming square I think...

I'm close to shopping for these in my restore so I'm interested to see other input. As a prior service military pilot I'm pretty sure I'm going with a aviation style fuel door.

They usually have then on eBay. They’re the same as f150/100 right? If you’re looking for something newer, Toyotas had square, 2nd gen Prius, Camary, and I like the looks of the Sienna. They have a cable driven pull release, though.

I went with a hidden fuel door, this is on the same DC quarter panels as yours

I like the stock fuel doors. You can source them off of ford truck beds from that era. Maybe even some ford cars too.

Look in the same era Ford Econoline vans. The door is the same but the fuel filler assembly is Bronco specific.

For those that have done this, are you cutting off the end of your existing fuel filler and welding in a new one? are you fabbing up something else? I'm a little confused about the mechanics of using one from another vehicle/custom vendor part. So far none of the vendors for these have much in terms of installation instructions.

So the 77 gas door set up most likely won't work. The rear plastic tub is too wide for the Dennis Carpenter fenders. Ugh
