Home-built tubing straightener pic that someone posted to this forum, wish that I could recall who. Rollers are steel sliding window wheels from what I recall. Changing the number of washers in the stack between the angles sets the spacing.

I have made a ton of custom brake lines. The Mastercool hydraulic flair tool is amazing and worth every penny. The end results are night and day better that the other tools. You can also do the flairs in cramped spaces vs. doing them off the car on a bench.

I dont think the Mastercool set will necessarily make better flares than the benchtop system from Eastwood. They are both (mostly) foolproof. But, it obviously has the advantage of being able to go under the car for repairs, etc. The only downside with a hydraulic system is the potential for leaks, and initial cost. I wanted something I could store for years without issue.

Got it. Finally called summit to order their flaring tool. Theirs are back ordered till at least January. I ended up with the k-tool. It's the one they rebrand. I also ordered the 45°dies to go with it. Hopefully this will jumpstart me into getting the broncos back going.this and the weather has finally cooled a bit. I have a hard time starting a project if I'm gonna be in a full sweat just getting out the tools.
