Installed these today when putting my tailgate one, i only scratched the paint a little but it’s about to get painted!

What a great product! Super easy to install.

Now to address the floppy tailgate handle.

Using both sides does strike a balance.
One alone is more than strong enough as far as the cable is concerned. But I wouldn’t rely solely on the one upper anchor point forever.
No telling what the tailgate will be subjected to over time, so having an extra as a backup, and to keep uneven forces off of the tailgate, and most of all spreading the loads over both sides of the notoriously tweakable Bronco corners, is just sensible practice.

And then too, while I am certain that our cables are made to a very high quality standard, there’s always a chance for failure of any sweged fitting. And if there is only one cable holding things together, well…
Though I’ve never personally experienced it, I’ve heard of it happening before.
Don’t know the circumstances or product type. Just that I am still a big Boy Scout and believe in being prepared.😉😁😎

Yeah, I am sure the cable is enough on one side, however I like the aestheic look of both cables. The tailgate fits well but you can tell that the body has "a checkered past" in a few of the gaps!!!!
