As a minor hijack…. Any other MC’s that aren’t 10lb cast iron that work? Curious what other Ford MCs bolt on for this application.

Maybe not be best option, but an option:
'96 F-350 7.3L TD will get you an aluminum bodied, plastic reservoir master cylinder of either a Ø1.125" or a Ø1.25" bore depending on which application you select (DRW, etc.). Some come with the RPV fitted to the rear output port, others do not. If you order one w/o the RPV, the only source for the RPV that I have found is a junkyard. Try for one without Cruise Control so that you won't need to plug that switch port.
Based on the exceptional pedal feel in Snowball, I suggest the Ø1.25" bore.

If you want the Ø1.125" bore there is a Dodge option of the same construction that is likely a better choice. Strange Engineering sells their version of it here: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/str-b3359ta

Maybe a pic will be helpful? Note the fitting on the rear outlet port, that is the RPV. Unless you're a very capable machinist you'll need that fitting, it isn't easily replaced as the port in the m/c body is something unique. That switch at the front is the Cruise Control switch, not a brake light switch.

Mid-eighties? iirc dodge diplomat is aluminum w/plastic reservoir. Running one with the super duty h-boost.

That's going to be this one: https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=1623736&cc=1090730&pt=1836&jsn=787 At a Ø1.03" bore that's a bit small for an H-B system, pedal will feel a bit mushy at the least. Looks to be the same as the Strange Engineering m/c that I linked above. I ran one of the larger bore Strange parts in the Valiant's manual brakes and it worked well there.

Seems to be a common setup, I've had no issues with mine for 10 years now and don't feel much if any 'mushy' feeling in the pedal.

Where is the best place to buy the Astro van hydro boost? Several of the big parts houses don’t have them in stock.

Brake pedal feel is highly subjective. I like the pedal to have no perceptible travel once the brakes are engaged, but still have very good modulation. Pressing harder directly translates into faster stopping. The Ø1.25" bore with the GM D52 calipers and the large piston H-B unit does this.
Others want more travel in the pedal. To me that feels a bit mushy. Whatever works for you is the right way to do it.

Junkyards seem to be the common source for them. Tried Rock Auto? Not my favorite place to buy from, but they frequently have parts that no one else even lists and their catalog is extremely helpful for figuring out some of this stuff.

I had checked and checked the last few weeks, and wouldn’t you know it I just checked again and they had one Cardone reman unit for a 1992 in stock. Just snagged it! $148 out the door. Also got a Cardone MC for a 1975 corvette for $45. Now to order the offset bracket from eBay!
