That's just the set of conversion brackets. You have to provide the stock angled brake booster bracket and the actual Mustang hydrobooster.

There are several people on the board using Mustang boosters and even more using a modified stock angled bracket with a hydrobooster of some sort. The Astro van booster will bolt to the stock bracket without need to modify the bolt pattern like you'll need to do with the Mustang booster.

... Hydro BOOST... I'm going to say go back & search old post from .. TOFIC.. He was a member on here when I 1st joined & He was the Hydro GENIUS ..
... THE Old Fart In Canada ... He had just retired & he made a Junk Yard run weekly . He came up with all sorts of great items to .. Convert into our Bronco.
.... He said it didn't matter what Hydro you used if it wasn't leaking & he could fix the leaking ones. One or 2 of the old or High post member will remember his post..

You comments about the Astro Van booster interested me. So I have this straight. The Astro one will bolt right up to stock mounting location on the fire wall? Does the pushrod need to be modified? Do I have to use the Astro master cylinder, I'd rather use one that is a little more simple looking like the diplomat or mustang one. Lastly, what year Astro vans were equipped with HB. I'm running a Hydratech HB in my current soon to be for sale rig. It was a really nice conversion but I'm looking for a more affordable option on my next rig. Being able to walk in a parts store and order direct replacements is also an important option to me too. Thank you in advance for any answers you might be able to give me.

Yea I read this article several years ago when I built my current rig. At the time there was only a Napa in town and I couldn't get the Lincoln parts from them. We finally got on O'Reillys so I thought sourcing the newer Astro parts should be easy. Thanks for reminding about this article though.

Astro will not bolt to the firewall. If you want it to come off the firewall, you'll either need to drill holes in the firewall to use the Astro bracket or remove the Astro bracket and make your own flat plate that will bolt to the stock holes.

What I commented on was if you have the stock angled bracket for an EB vacuum booster, you can use the bracket to bolt and Astro hydrobooster to. You need to modify the bell crank inside the bracket to work with the booster and there's a kit for that on ebay.

I am running a Lincoln MC with my Astro booster. Others here have used Camaro and Corvette MCs.

This thread will give you info on years of Astro boosters:

You will need to drill the holes out in the stock angled bracket with a 1/2" drill bit and then the Astro unit will bolt up. Also need to drill out the bell crank holes.
