Front fender replacement flange?

Maybe my fenders rusted unusually, but mine are in nice shape, OE metal, and obviously painted. But my mounting flanges where it mounts to the inner fender are in bad shape. I see that the fenders can be purchased like below, unassembled. But I'll be damned if i can find the individual pieces. Please tell me i can buy that part so I don't have to make it, or spend $600 on replacements.

As far as I can tell no one sells the flange separately. I bought a repo fender that has the flange welded on incorrectly (it sat too high), I drilled out the spot welds and re-welded it into the correct position. It would be a pretty easy piece to make yourself if you know someplace that has a sheet metal bending brake. The piece is too long for the Harbor Freight table top version. If you have a local company that installs commercial aluminum framed glass doors, they will have it.

agree, but between holes, bends, cuts, cleanup, etc. it still takes an hour or two each side. I have a 30" brake, but obviously that pieces is longer than that. and if i can't buy that piece, making one will be the path forward.

I reached out to Dennis Carpenter already, but haven't heard back yet. I assume if anyone has blems, i hoped it might be them.

I just hoped they were for sale, and I couldn't find them.

Maybe reach out to Northeast Classic Ford parts and see if they can offer you one off a fender that's damaged lower. They sometimes sell individual pieces of used body parts.

I might have a used set of fenders that have some, I would have to see what kind of shape they are in.

The upper flanges on my original fenders both look pretty good. But shipping the flanges from the West Coast to MD (once I cut them off the old fenders) would probably be expensive, plus hard to pack to prevent damage. I should think someone closer should also have a pair of trash fenders with usable flanges. If you were closer, I'd just give you the fenders.

Just a note: USPS has started a new shipping option. I think it's called "Ground Advantage". I just shipped a round tube about 24" tall filled with 2 front spindles for $9. If you can put them in a round or triangular tube, it should be pretty cheap to ship.

The tube would need to be something like 5' long...

I measured my flange. 46". 4" diameter tube 48" tall weighing 5 lbs western Oregon to Baltimore Maryland USPS Ground Advantage $23.06. 3 lbs is $20.92. But honestly your fenders look petty good to cut off the flanges.

message me with a price if you're two pieces are good and you want to cut off that piece off (above the spot welds) and ship to me.

Just to close the loop on this thread, while those flanges seem simple, there are a lot of different bends and more than meets the eye.

And @serial car restorer went above and beyond to cut those off and and more importantly to package them and find the cheapest shipping option to get them to me.

So more than a tip of the hat to the gentleman, and should you find yourself doing business with him, do not hesitate.

Also, I reached out to all the big distributors, and they basically told me the front fender parts are not sold separately (Even though they sell it as an assemble your own kit, which seems absurd to me), and nobody had any blems or other options.
