Soft doors without inserts?

The Beatop site isn’t clear and the EB vendors seem to use the Bestop description…

is there a full soft door option that doesn’t require use of roadster inserts? Just not finding a clear answer out there…. I really don’t want to use (or spend the money) inserts if I can avoid them.

Thanks!

I know it's not a soft door, but I think the closest thing you'll find is the trail doors from Duff.

Not on the market. If you do a search you might find at least one person who built their own.

From memory it was really just a modified version of the soft door that works with the inserts, but it's been a long time since I have seen those pictures.

Might soft doors from a CJ-7 work with some modification??? No idea myself, but at least they are the same basic shape needed.

I don't think these are available any more. But is something like this what you're looking for?

I agree with both of you guys. I was hopeful to discover an option that used the shape of the door but maybe wasn’t flat like that…perhaps followed the body lines a bit.

Oh well…I guess I’ll just have to build doors too.

I also considered building a couple of "snoop" doors or cut down some door shells and then adding vinyl framework if you wanted something more when the weather turned bad.
You could essentially cut the door down like an insert then modify a soft door to fit onto the cut down hard door. Use snaps or similar to adhere the bottom fabric to the door. then drill holes to something to hold the upper door with soft window in place. Kind of a hybrid, hard door, insert and soft door. Wouldn't lose the body lines and get kind of the best of all worlds maybe?

Or maybe end up with a crappy compromise

Opinions are like ...

I didn't think they were terrible but they could have taken more time to instead of making them flat, they could have had them match the body line at the top.
I think they would look okay without the window portion.
