For any of you guys that have done the Explorer EFI swap in your rig; have any of you deleted the steel heater tubes with the ECT sensor?

I don’t have a heater in mine so I don’t thing I need the water routed through the heater core and I won’t be runnnig the EGR equipment.

If you deleted the heater tubes, what did you use to plug that hole in the lower intake and where did you move the ECT sensor to?

Thanks!

Put the ECT in the hole that heater was attached to. I think you need a reducer bushing. 3/8 NPT sensor threads into 1/2 NPT intake threads. You local hardware store will have a brass bushing that has both threads and fixes your problem. Nothing high tech here, the plumbing isle at Ace will fix this one.

Since the port on the water pump that feeds the heater core tubing will no longer be used, what is the best way to block that off?
