The nuts for the letters are flat speed nut. For the extra 100.00 you pay for the Carpenter grille, I can tell you for sure it doesn't fit any better than the one's from Taiwan.
thanks for the heads up

good to know i have been thinking about ordering a carpenters grill so it has the ford letters stamped but i may just get the ford emblems and do that instead

anyone know if the back of the bolt on grille emblems are flat or do they contour to go over the letters ?

thanks
The grill letters are contoured to go over the stamped letters, but fit the radius of the grill in that area.

Well let us be honest here. There ain't no way in Hades I would spend what these people spend on the high end builds i see out there. Why? I have had broncos pretty much all my life and have built 2 from the ground up. I have a couple friends that are professional body and paint guys that help me. Universal agreement: aftermarket parts are crap compared to oem. Fact. That being said finding oem is like finding hen's teeth. So we deal with it, massage it, cuss at it and at times throw in the trash. My current bronco was beat to death so I replaced a ton of panels. Had they had these bodies available before I was up to my neck I would have seriously considered one. That being said I just think I would be fearful of buying a high end rig built with all this cheesy aftermarket stuff cause well I have seen first hand how well some of it holds up to daily use. So sand it , prime it, paint it and drive the crap out of it cause you only live once and your kids will probably sell it when you die!

Will never understand building (or buying) to polish it constantly and afraid to drive it because it might get a rock chip. Why I stopped working for a hot rod shop 35 years ago, learned some great skills that I still use today and some lessons that I still don’t understand lol

I have more questions than answers.
My son wants my 74. I told him I would probably be buried in it, he said not for long. He has a bunch of good memories growing up in it. I loved his answer. This happened a number of years ago.

My son is in town for a quick visit. He had to go look at his future ride. Showed him the stash of parts that go with it. He's going to need a bigger truck..... He actually wished he would have brought his truck on this trip and put the Toyota on a u haul for the trip home. That he can have now. When he was little he would sit in the middle and run the gear shifter, made him feel pretty big running the gears.

I took delivery of my China body in early April, put it on the road this morning. I started with a bare frame and title purchase November 25 and built from there. This body has exceeded my expectations for fit and finish. It is not show car quality but it is very nice. If you are looking to enjoy your rusted Bronco in a realistic time frame and do it within a budget that makes sense I highly recommend you consider this option. Located in Myrtle Beach if you would like to see it.

I talked with Steve at Andy's Beach Trucks before I bought my DC assembled body. He had said that they would not import and sell only the body to a customer... had to take my chassis down there and have them bolt it on and do other work. I had hoped I could just buy a fully assembled and painted body compete with top and all other body panels. I opted to drive to Charlotte and pick up an assembled body which was in stock.

Was your experience different?

And for those that keep thinking DC uses all or 95% USA made body panels, you are wrong. Only certain ones are stamped in the US. Everything else is from Taiwan.

There is no such thing as a USA made Bronco body unless it's original from 66-77. New bodies are USA assembled only with some USA parts.

The Guy's at Andy's guided me through the purchase direct from the China folks, I did have them put the body on my roller which only took a few hours after we uncrated it. They were super helpful.
