This is probably the one thing I need to complete my rig....question....my tierod end is very close to my wheel. are these smaller than the stock ungly moster crap or will i need a spacer?

Thanks much for the special pricing and the CB AUgust giveaway. I have one question about the heim systems.

For a mainly street driven Bronco, which would provide better steering feel, this heim set-up or the F-150 Tie Rod conversion kit that you sell.

I think either will be tight when new. My experence is that the heims will last longer. True or not the ends are much cheaper to replace.

They are a little smaller and they set a little closer to the knuckle also. But I don't know if they will clear your rims, do you know the off set of your wheels? If you decide to try one and don't like it you can return it. You pay the shipping.

your a/c unit is sitting on my garage floor..starting install this weekend. 93dgs and we are having a drought.

Is there any safety feature to keep the nut from coming off the stud? There doe not seem to be much thread. Is the stud drilled to accept a tie wire?

he uses cinch nuts. i've had his tie rods for a few years now and never had a nut back off.

I use/provide the cinchloc or crimploc nuts, never had one come loose but with 3 threads sticking out past the top of the nut there is room for a cotter pin if it would make you feel better.

If your tierod will miss the wheel when mounted on top of the knuckle then so will mine.
PS even my A/c will not cool your EB from the floor

I need to know the measurement from the pass. side tierod grease zurk to the drivers side tierod grease zurk and from the pass side tierod grease zerk to the pitman arm end of the drag link grease zerk

Will this kit fit a 77 with the stock inverted Y? I have 5.5 inches lift, new adjustable track bar and lowering bracket, and a dropped pitman arm. The knuckles are standard 77 broncos. Does this kit just replace the Y, with the reaming of course. I have been pricing the tie rod/drag link kit from completeoffroad.com but the heim joints look stronger. Also mentioned was cutting down the track bar bolt and using a chinch lock nut. Do you have the chinch nut ?

I sale both the rod end and the heim tie rod system. I think both are good but I prefer the heims. On the 77, to get max. right turn you might need to trim the lower track bar mounting bolt. You can also either cut the nut down and drill a cotter pin hole or use a cinch loc nut and yes I do stock them

I'm running your studs and saddle clamp with stone crusher heims. The top of your stud is actually just slightly recessed in the nut. My set-up does not have any threads showing on the the top (TRO) set-up with 76 knuckles. I do have 4 threads or so showing under the knuckle. Is it possible that the stone crusher heims are thicker?

I don't think so, the early studs were not designed for washers under the nut. Sounds like what you have. I had the newer studs made a little longer.

Chuck, I got a question for you. I have a 77 with your 3.5 lift and and steering links that converted it from the Y to the T style with a drop pitman arm. I want to use your heim steering and go over the knuckle to eliminate the drop pitman arm. Measuring from knuckle to knuckle is easy enough. But, how can I get you the correct measurement from the tierod to the pitman arm?

Many people have the same problem with that measurement. I think people think too much about what I need to know. For the drag link measurement all I need is the measurement from the pass. side TIE ROD grease fitting to the pitman arm end grease fitting of the DRAG LINK. I do not need to know the length of the drag link.

Mine says the same thing, it's a wife thing. This is what I do to end up with a tierod/drag link. I weld the saddle to the tierod so that it will miss the radius arm cap when the wheels are turned full either way. What I do with your measurement is subtract 11" to get the length that the drag link tube needs to be after subtracting for 2 heims and the distance from the right knuckle to the center of the saddle. That measurement is about 40"-42" unless you have a 4x2 box or some other unusual setup. So when I am told ~28 and I sub. 11" I know something is amiss. We thread each end of the tubes 3" and the threads on the heims after the jam nut is 1 3/4" so I make the the tierod and drag link with the heim threaded all the way in to your measurements. If they end up being a little long the tubes can be cut down.

I'm excited about this. I've wanted the heim steering since I started but like you just wasn't happy with the geometry of what was available. With what you have now I'm ready to convert. BTW with this purchase I'll have enough of your products I'll need a pretty big decal to show.;D Need something on opposite side of this.
