hello ok on my 75 when i let the clutch out it will hopp like the body is chattering up and down then settle out as i let clutch out body flexing or twisting ?? i can bet that someone on here has had the same thing at one point or another,cause i think its kinda common on therse with that said...

Ok behind the front bearing retainer is a thin gasket dose that also act as a shim?

no it was not rebuilt that I know of but I did take bearing retainer off to check gasket but put it all back original.i guess I will need to fine the spec's on that.

What would be a good choice of lube other than 90 weight?

well when I got the tranny it was sitting in a barn for who knows how long but I did change lube I put 80/90 gear lube in it, all shifting is ok not good but ok but going from 3rd to 2nd on a roll is next to imposable it must need a synchro ??

Ok then it looks like a rebuild job is in my future because no way no how can I down shift from 3rd to 2nd unless iam at a complete stop. Thanks
