Centech wiring harness

I am almost finished with my Centech wiring harness. I have a couple of questions that I could not find on this forum

1. Where is the wire that connects to the switch on the brake pedal that needs 2 connections. The directions say it's label white "stop sw", but the only wire I see is already connected to the hazard flasher. Also it's only one wire, do I need spice into this wire?

2. Where do I connect the fuel sndr wire too? I have 2 places where it can go. Do I connect it to the main sender? or the one that is attached to the gas tank. I have only one tank btw.

3. I have the NP 435 tranny, how do I access the backup switch, prob don't even have one. I know its located on the top on the tranny but do I access it from under the bronco or in the bronco, remove my plate that covers the shifter

Thanks

Hey cfarrell, welcome to CB!
Hope I can help, but if I seem a bit vague, it's just that there are sometimes variables.
As we like to say here, every Bronco is different! ;D

A cop-out perhaps. But true nevertheless.

Hmm, they should be right here and readily visible. Marked just like the instructions say, and match the ones you see at the hazard switch. In fact, they're likely the other ends of those wires, as they would go through the hazard switch anyway.
Here's a pic of one. See the white wires coming out at the column connector? That's them.

So you would normally either just push them on to the stock brake switch connectors, or snap them into your old plastic housing if it's still in one piece.

Not sure what you're asking here. There is a Main and Aux wire running to the back. You would just cut or tie off the Aux wire and run the Main (Pink or Orange?) to the main sending unit's center stud.
At the dash, you don't use the selector switch, or Aux wire (Brown I think?) so you can cut or tape that one off too. Since you only have one tank, the other end of the Main wire goes straight to the gauge post.
On each gauge except the ammeter, there are two posts. One is for the sending unit, the other is for the power from the IVR.

There are a couple of different orientations I think, but if yours is up high you may have to cut a hole in the floor. I know I've been able to reach up under there (just barely) and get to the switch on some installations. But not all.

Got any pics of your layout? Sometimes it's a matter of which transmission, sometimes a matter of how much body lift, or how far the old cushions have crushed.

Good luck.

Thanks Paul, I found the white wire, taped it up, brain fart.
I uploaded 2 pics first is where the main fuel sender is and the other is where the tank is, just wanted to be clear on which one I connect too. I do not have a body lift so I can not easily get to the top of the tranny, I will have to look from the inside. One more thing, I bought the power brake system from toms didn't install yet but the proportional valve has only 1 wire brake warn. The Centech has 2 do I just connect the one wire to it

Thanks again

Before you go cutting any access holes though, make sure your particular 435 actually has a switch. I've heard of, but never seen, transmissions (maybe very early ones?) that did not come with a backup lamp switch.

If you can see it somewhere though, you're good to go.

I hate the change in brake switches! Not because it's necessarily bad, but because I can never remember the way to do it without sitting here for five minutes and figuring it out.
I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but yes, I think you can either wire the single wire to one wire of the old 2-wire circuit in the harness, or twist the two together and connect to them both.

I'd test that last bit first though. Turn on the key, twist the ends together and make sure your dash light doesn't come on.
If it does, then you have to use just one wire of the harness to the one wire of the new connector.

In case you're not aware, the proper working of this light is to be OFF at all times, unless there is either a fault in the brake system (imbalance between front and rear) OR, when you turn the key to START you should see the light come on momentarily. Once you release the key and it's back in the RUN position, the light goes out.

If it's working like this after you hook it all up, it's good to go.
