I have installed the serpentine with upgraded alternator.

Can I use the "Reg S" wire which is connected to the "IGN AUX" for the Alternator connection?

I was planning on using the blue "IGN SW" to go directly to my Fitech

Thanks in advance,

Chris

I would use a separate wire, rather than one helping to power a computer for EFI. I don't know that it would cause a problem, but it seems like separating them would be a good idea.

The other reason to use a dedicated wire for the alternator regulator is that it's supposed to be a wire that's powered up in the ON position only. If you use one that's hot in ACC too, it'll be draining the battery pretty heavily just while listening to the radio or messing about with the key in ACC.

The Reg S is one of the Green ones?
You can use it for the regulator it sounds like, but I would first verify that you do not find 12v on it with the key in the ACC position.

Chris the way I read the limited Centech directions is:

Green Reg "S" would be the Field wire for the Explorer 4G Alt

Blue IGN Wire would power your Fitech

It looks like both are on different fuses... Blue wire on top left fuse and Reg "S" on the fuse below it.

You could do a test with a test light and pull those fuses to be certain.

I agree with Paul separate is better.
