Frame Up

Well I have eventually gotten my truck down to the frame and over Christmas Break I repaired the rear frame rails, extended them 3 inches to better accomodate a bumper/tire carrier and had it sand blasted, i am going to paint it with chassis saver underbody paint, and put the axles from my 77 under it soon. For those of you wondering I took lots of pics so I will write a tech article on the frame repair soon as things settle down here at school. I have no idea why I felt compelled to tell everyone, but I did.

Now your patience will be tested. I am 11 months into a frame off and have been getting discouraged because things came apart so quick, but going back together has been soooooooo slow! Finally some things are going back together!

Good lookin' setup classic4x4s. Nice to see someone string a neat set of plug wires too. Are those BC's front brackets or something else?

DirtDonk,
Thanks. If you are talking about the power steering & alternator adapter brackets, they are Duff's. The alt one actually has FoMoCo on it. Both are very nice! I have another set from one of the other Bronco houses and neither of their brackets fit correctly!

ricks77eb,
You know building one of these only takes time and money. I am working plenty of overtime so I have some money, but NO TIME!!!

Yes, that is what I was talking about. Thanks for the info.
I guess I hadn't talked to Duff's in a while and hadn't known they carried a serpentine conversion.
Is it too late for you to see the Ford part numbers still? It would be great if you could post the part number. I'm curious what their original application is. If not, oh well, no problem. I was just curious.
Do the Duff parts come with a new timing cover and pullies and such, or is it designed to work with your existing stuff.
Thanks for any info.

It is not serpentine, just a 351W with the 302 pulleys. The brackets I mentioned are fot the ps pump and alt to bolt up to the 351. The alt bracket was the one with the Ford part number, which I did write down if you want it.
